  • Prior cleaning, custodial or housekeeping experience preferred

  • Knowledge of safety procedures for cleaning agents and equipment use

Job Duties

  • Perform day-to-day housekeeping services to maintain cleanliness of hospital and campus buildings
  • Sweep, vacuum, and wash floors using appropriate equipment and supplies
  • Dust, polish, and clean interior surfaces including windows, furniture, walls, and ceilings
  • Prepare beds with clean linens and manage window draperies and bedside curtains
  • Clean toilets, lavatories, washrooms, and mop closets to maintain hygiene
  • Distribute clean linen to patient care and ancillary departments
  • Empty and reline trash receptacles safely, handling hazardous waste appropriately
  • Collect soiled linen to support laundry operations
  • Perform lifting and moving tasks such as stocking oxygen tanks and furniture
  • Arrange and prepare conference rooms and patient care areas as needed
