Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in floor care or janitorial services preferred
- ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
- physical stamina to perform cleaning and restoration duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- availability to work flexible hours
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of and experience with professional floor care equipment such as buffer, extractor, and high lift
- knowledgeable of various floor surfaces including wood and marble and the processes required for maintaining them
- excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
Job Duties
- Strip, finish, high-speed burnish, spray buff, neutral clean, restore all floor surfaces as necessary and/or assigned
- perform all cleaning, restoration and shampooing of all floors assigned
- exercise care in the use of cleaning supplies, methods, and equipment while following all safety guidelines
- report needed maintenance and safety hazards in assigned areas to supervisor
- contain and clean hazardous materials covered under the Code Blue specifications
- work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas
- be exposed to cigarette smoke, hazardous materials and equipment
