Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- preferably some experience in environmental services or custodial work
- ability to follow safety procedures
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds
- capacity to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- willingness to work in a fast-paced and high-demand environment
- must be able to work independently and accept feedback
- compliance with San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission licensing if required
- no driving responsibilities required
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- entry-level to three months of EVS experience preferred
- ability to use necessary tools and equipment required for job duties
- ability to follow safety guidelines with chemicals, equipment, and tools
- ability to work without direct supervision
- ability to accept performance feedback professionally
- ability to maintain consistent regular attendance
Job Duties
- Dust and sanitize furniture and equipment including slot bases, slot chairs, stanchions, and informational signs
- maintain cleanliness and overall condition of assigned areas including front-of-house and back-of-house casino locations and off-site buildings
- clean and maintain slot machines, card tables, and non-gaming areas including stairwells, elevators, escalators, and people movers
- remove trash and recycling properly, operate trash and cardboard compactors according to guidelines
- maintain flooring surfaces through sweeping, mopping, burnishing, vacuuming, and gum removal
- manage stock of cleaning materials and equipment, restock janitor storage areas, and notify management of supply needs or equipment maintenance
- engage in exceptional customer service with internal and external customers, assist guests, handle lost and found items per policies
- follow safety procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA standards
- perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations
