Job Requirements
- HS diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Experience in a cleaning or environmental services role preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to operate environmental service equipment
- Availability to work day, evening, or night shifts
- Flexibility to work variable days including weekends once a month
- Ability to follow local, state, and federal sanitization and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- HS diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment including proper cleaning procedures and equipment
- Ability to interpret various forms of data and instructions
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate basic environmental service equipment
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships
Job Duties
- Maintain clean, attractive and safe environment in assigned areas
- Perform general cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways and other facility areas
- Handle equipment including mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers and dryers
- Set up rooms as needed
- Remove trash and handle linen duties
- Distribute supplies and maintain stock levels
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and hospital personnel
