Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- capability to understand and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
- skilled in communication with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel
- strong time management and organizational skills
- ability to operate environmental service equipment including mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
- capacity to prioritize tasks according to policies and deadlines
- ability to work independently and in a team environment
- problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve issues using established solutions
- capacity to build cooperative relationships with peers and staff
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- maintains a clean and safe environment in assigned areas
- performs cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling
- cleans patient rooms, offices, hallways and other facility areas
- distributes supplies and maintains stock levels
- uses environmental service equipment including floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
- communicates effectively with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital staff
- adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations and policies regarding sanitization and safety
