Job Requirements
- HS diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
- Possess written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment including proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to operate basic environmental service equipment
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems
- Willingness to work variable shifts including every other weekend
Job Qualifications

- Ability to operate basic environmental service equipment such as floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers

- Ability to identify and resolve standard problems using established solutions
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned areas
- Perform various cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, and hallways
- Handle transport and equipment duties including mechanical cleaners and washers
- Set up rooms and remove trash and linens appropriately
- Distribute supplies to departments and maintain stock levels
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and hospital personnel
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations ensuring sanitization and safety
