Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Able to communicate in English
- Willingness to attend required safety training
- Ability to use personal protective equipment
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks related to trash collection and cleaning
- Adherence to hospital exposure control protocols
- Ability to collaborate with team members across departments
- Availability to work part-time day shifts
- Pass necessary background checks and comply with organizational policies
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Able to communicate in English
- Demonstrate behavior aligning with core values of integrity, compassion, balance, excellence, stewardship, and teamwork
- Prior hospital experience preferred
- Ability to perform cleaning functions using the 10-step process
- Knowledge of Sniper disinfecting process
- Ability to use personal protective equipment properly
- Capacity to document tasks accurately
- Flexibility to adjust to staff shortages and other assigned areas
- Ability to interact appropriately with patients and customers
Job Duties
- Collects trash carts and delivers them to assigned area according to schedule
- Responds to requests for special trash pickups
- Relines trash containers as needed
- Transports trash carts from collection point to designated area
- Attends all required Safety Training programs
- Follows Hospital Exposure Control/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens protocols
- Promotes effective working relations and collaborates within and across departments
- Monitors and reports any equipment issues or shortages
- Assists in cleanup of emergency spills
- Uses personal protective equipment in all aspects of job performance
- Documents daily assignments completed
- Uses Capacity Management system to maintain productive flow of beds and patients
- Accesses medication room for cleaning purposes only
- Interacts with patients/customers appropriately
- Any other duties as assigned
