Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Able to communicate in English
- Previous experience in a healthcare or cleaning environment preferred
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning using the 10 step process of patient rooms, ancillary areas, restrooms, offices, public areas and corridor
- Provide supplies to mentioned areas as appropriate
- Coordinate, supervise and maintain areas of responsibility to the high standards set by the department and AdventHealth
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set by the department
- Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships
- Transport hazardous waste from point of generation to designated storage area following safety protocols
- Collect trash carts and deliver them to assigned area according to schedule
- Respond to requests for special trash pickups and reline trash containers as needed
- Attend all required safety training programs and understand job-related hazards
- Follow hospital exposure control and pathogen protocols
- Promote effective working relations and collaborate across departments
