Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of powered floor equipment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Must be able to work flexible schedules
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adhere to infection control procedures
- Ability to use proper body mechanics
- Competent in handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
Job Duties
- Works under general direction and accepts assignments and schedule changes as necessary
- Assembles cleaning equipment and supplies, prepares cleaning solutions, uses detergents, soaps, germicides and other agents
- Operates power-buffing and floor care equipment, refinishes hard-surface flooring, shampoos and extracts carpeting
- Cleans walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, fixtures, lavatories, plumbing, patient areas, and performs terminal isolation cleaning
- Removes trash including municipal solid waste, recyclables, biohazardous waste
- Maintains supplies at proper levels and reports unsafe conditions
- Moves furniture and sets up meeting rooms as required
- Adheres to safety practices and uses protective equipment when handling chemicals or infectious materials
- Performs duties with minimal interruption to patients and staff, demonstrating courteous and timely responses
