Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- valid WA State Food Handler's card or be willing to obtain
- prior experience as a cook, sous chef, or grill cook (1-2 years preferred)
- ability to prepare high quality food
- flexibility with schedule including occasional weekends
- ability to maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to prepare therapeutic and modified diets
- CPR and first aid training may be required
- completion of background check, fingerprinting, and TB 2-step test
- physical ability to push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare assigned stations for shift
- under direction of dining services manager, prepare individual components of various entrees and food items, adhering to the individual dietary restrictions of residents
- maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and DSHS regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
- prepare therapeutic and modified diets
- maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors as needed
- communicate effectively with staff and residents
