Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • prior experience as a cook or lead cook
  • ability to prepare high quality food
  • flexibility with schedule may be required, with the occasional need to work Saturdays/Sundays and other days/shifts as needed
  • maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors as needed
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to prepare therapeutic/modified diets
  • must obtain or be able to obtain valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • must obtain or be able to obtain Washington State Food Handler's Card

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age

  • ability to prepare high quality food
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to prepare therapeutic and modified diets
  • must obtain or be able to obtain valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • must obtain or be able to obtain Washington State Food Handler's Card

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned stations for shift
  • under direction of Dining Services Director, prepare individual components of various entrees and food items, adhering to the individual dietary restrictions of residents
  • maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and DSHS regulations
  • perform other duties as assigned
