Job Requirements

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain within ninety days
  • Possession of a City Operator's Permit within six months from hire date
  • Associate's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Five years of event or program planning experience
  • One year of supervisory or lead experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business marketing communications psychology sociology theatre fine art public relations or education
  • Five years of event or program planning experience
  • One year of supervisory or lead experience
  • Bilingual in English Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of event planning operations and services
  • Knowledge of theatrical performances and venue rental procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in contract negotiation and administration
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise assign and review the work of staff responsible for coordinating entertainment and logistics for events
  • Participate in the coordination of entertainment and logistics
  • Ensure work quality and adherence to policies and procedures including customer service and professionalism
  • Perform technical and complex tasks related to event coordination
  • Coordinate with food vendors
  • Prepare facility rental applications and contract paperwork
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of event facilities
