Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Recreation, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
- At least three years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience in organizing and implementing event planning, production, and marketing
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California driver license
- Ability to lift, drag, and push equipment weighing 25 pounds or more
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties
- Leads various city events and programs as a project manager ensuring timely completion of tasks, clear communication with internal and external partners and contractors, and analyzing and documenting the progress and effectiveness of assigned programs and events
- Develops and presents recommendations to improve future events and programs
- Directly supervises full and PTS staff to ensure work is carried out effectively, is aligned with the vision of the division, department and the city, and is reflecting the citys philosophy
- Participates with hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and providing feedback for full and PTS staff on the events team
- Contributes to the organizational strategic planning at all levels
- Monitors program budgets and provides input for future budget preparations
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies, city management and staff, and the public
- Assists with event setups at various events
- Develops programs and events, including envisioning and executing seasonal events for the City of Santa Clarita
- Other duties as assigned
