Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain within ninety days
  • Possession of a City Operator's Permit within six months of hire
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and evaluate staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of contractual negotiation and administration

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, marketing, communications, psychology, sociology, theatre/fine art, public relations or education
  • Five years of event or program planning experience
  • One year of supervisory or lead experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of event planning principles and venue operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prepare reports and manage vendor contracts

Job Duties

  • Supervise and assign work to staff coordinating entertainment and logistics for various events
  • Review and participate in event coordination activities
  • Ensure adherence to policies related to customer service and professionalism
  • Perform complex technical tasks related to entertainment and event coordination
  • Coordinate with food vendors and entertainers for event execution
  • Prepare facility rental applications and contract paperwork
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of event facilities
