Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to read and analyze event orders
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • meet with group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions to make introductions and confirm arrangements
  • read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information and determine setup and timeline
  • respond to and fulfill special banquet event requests
  • follow up on special arrangements to ensure compliance
  • ensure adherence to company safety and security policies and report unsafe conditions
  • welcome guests according to company standards and anticipate service needs
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • communicate clearly and answer phones with appropriate etiquette
  • develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • visually inspect equipment and event setups
  • perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating various physical environments
  • perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
