Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of event management experience
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- CMP certification or Healthcare Meeting Compliant Certificate preferred
- Experience with CVENT registration preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Ability to handle conflict with tact and diplomacy
- Located in or willing to relocate to Durham, NC

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or four additional years of relevant experience
- 4-6 years of experience in event management, corporate or meeting planning
- Healthcare industry experience
- CMP certification preferred or Healthcare Meeting Compliant Certificate
- Experience using CVENT registration preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to work cooperatively within teams
- Professional demeanor and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Positive team attitude, contributing to problem solving
- Willingness to relocate or located in Durham, NC
Job Duties
- Logistic planning for state, local, and national meetings including registration, sponsorship, booth arrangements, travel, hotel, regulatory and compliance documentation, marketing supplies, promotional materials, product demos, and on-site implementation and breakdown
- Logistic planning and coordination of special activities, workshops, and training courses including meeting space, catering, audio-visual, hotel, travel, dinners, and regulatory documentation
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Research, Education, and other departments to assist in event planning and achieving their goals
- Plan and coordinate national and MED-EL sponsored research meetings including travel, registration, and information needs
- Train personnel attending events on professional conference protocol and etiquette
- Coordinate attendance logistics with medical and research professionals including travel, agreements, and center approvals
- Maintain annual conference schedule and calendar for US and international coordination
- Maintain documentation relating to US sponsored meetings for budgetary, accounting, regulatory and customer relationship management purposes
- Identify and resolve issues with personnel, contractors, or vendors to ensure successful events
- Communicate and negotiate with US medical institutions regarding travel expenses and agreements
- Track and advise on medical professional attendance for regulatory compliance
- Ensure regulatory compliance documentation for healthcare provider travel and meetings
- Assist in accounting and invoicing related to meeting expenses
- Manage budgets for each meeting or conference handled
- Coordinate conference grant requests with US and international teams
