Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, or marketing preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in communication or marketing preferred
- Ability to make recommendations and solve problems using sound judgment
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, employees, vendors, and partners
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting up to 35 pounds and extended periods of sitting
- Must be adaptable and able to work in varying environments
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, or marketing preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in communication or marketing preferred
- Experience in destination marketing highly desirable
- Skilled in writing, strategic communications, event execution, and public speaking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain organization
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems
Job Duties
- Assist with creative concept development and execution of key customer events
- Aid in planning and preparation for spring sales missions in Chicago and DC
- Assist with budgeting, managing, and reconciling event budgets
- Help manage RFP processes and vendor negotiations for event rentals, catering, and entertainment
- Support logistics and creative management for industry tradeshow booth activations
- Assist in coordinating customer FAMs including major sports events
- Provide event support for local stakeholder events and marketing efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
