Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, or marketing preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in communication or marketing preferred
- Experience in destination marketing and knowledge of Indianapolis highly desirable
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, and business communications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work non-routine hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, or marketing preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in communication or marketing preferred
- Experience in destination marketing highly desirable
- Strong writing, strategic communication, and public speaking skills desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet browsers, and email systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to adapt to flexible work hours
Job Duties
- Assist with creative concept development and execution of key customer events
- Aid in planning and preparation for annual sales missions in Chicago and Washington DC
- Support budgeting processes including development, management, and reconciliation
- Manage RFP processes and negotiate with vendors for event rentals, catering, entertainment, and other components
- Assist with advance logistics for industry trade show booth activations and customer events
- Support management of customer familiarization trips for major sporting and cultural events
- Assist marketing efforts to attract customers and stakeholders to events
