Job Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission of improving education and outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Experience delivering events across various formats and sizes both online and face-to-face
  • Ability to manage complex workloads with shifting priorities using project management where appropriate
  • Ability to lead small teams providing development and accountability
  • Ability to work with initiative responding positively to change and challenging situations seeking solutions and improvements
  • Ability to communicate effectively tailoring methods for different stakeholders
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering events within financial constraints
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite Salesforce and Zoom
  • Capability to liaise successfully across departments in a matrix team environment
  • Availability to attend office at least one day per month and on team days
  • Commitment to safeguarding and eligibility to work in the UK

Job Qualifications

  • Experience of event delivery across a range of different events including small to large multi-faceted events and both online and face-to-face formats
  • Demonstratable task management experience including ability to lead and empower small teams and hold people to account whilst supporting their development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor approaches to different stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Salesforce and Zoom
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering events on budget
  • Experience building culture and ways of working within a team
  • Commitment to high-quality event delivery with attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Lead and support the delivery of a varied portfolio of online and face-to-face events ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for all participants and facilitators
  • Manage and develop Events Associates providing line management task oversight and professional development
  • Plan and organise event logistics including venue bookings catering travel arrangements and supplier relationships while balancing budget and delivery constraints
  • Innovate and improve event processes by using feedback data and maintain accurate records including raising purchase orders and processing invoices using relevant systems
  • Manage event budgets ensuring delivery on budget using creative and cost-effective solutions to drive best value for money
  • Liaise across departments working collaboratively in a matrix-style team
  • Ensure high attention to detail and quality in all aspects of event delivery
