Job Requirements
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm and focused during busy times
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Additional languages preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, moving for periods longer than eight hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty pounds
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience and proven success in the hospitality or service industry is strongly preferred
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Prior special events setup and teardown experience preferred
Job Duties
- Clean restrooms, foyer space, and furniture as assigned
- Utilize specialty equipment complying with all safety and procedural guidelines
- Polish, restore, seal, finish and maintain all flooring including marble and granite
- Complete extraction and spotting of carpets
- Complete high and low dusting of ceiling vents and wall decorations
- Use various machines such as carpet extractors, scrubbers, burnishers, floor machines, lifts, wet/dry vacuums, spotting machines
- Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas
- Use proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy furniture to clean the area underneath
- Properly use and dispose of chemicals when conducting area cleaning
- Conduct hazardous material clean-up
- Move furniture, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Provides courteous and professional service and proper care, movement, and storage of all banquet equipment
- Quickly and efficiently retrieve materials needed for event setups
- Ensure all venues are well-maintained and cleaned before and after events
- Assist with inventory control of catering equipment and furniture
- Communicate with supervisor verbally and through written communication
- Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and equipment
- Safely drive and maintain vehicles for transporting event materials
- Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet areas and keep service areas stocked and cleaned
- Assist banquet staff with side work and cleaning
- Perform other duties as assigned
