Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • a minimum of five years of administration, hospitality, events, or AV experience
  • proven experience coordinating and facilitating events at the highest level of sophistication
  • working knowledge of performance lighting systems, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and other technology
  • strong communication, problem-solving, and advanced customer service skills
  • self-motivation
  • attention to details and their impact
  • comfort juggling complex and multiple task assignments
  • flexible schedule including early morning, evening, and weekend availability

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and oversee operational and support aspects of museum events
  • plan and execute internal events such as exhibition openings and large public events
  • serve as an ambassador to clients and guests in AV and technical support matters
  • provide diverse administrative and operational support for event execution
  • register external client events and manage liquor license applications
  • collaborate with Event Rentals Manager and Manager of Public Programs on event scheduling
  • manage museum’s calendar and booking system
  • ensure compliance with building protocols and guidelines
  • provide check-in and event logistics support
  • offer AV and technical support including sound system and video display management
  • be present on-site during assigned events
  • assist with day-of event orientation for clients
