The Association of Former Students is a prestigious organization dedicated to fostering a lifelong connection among the Aggie Network, which includes students, alumni, faculty, and friends of Texas A&M University. - availability to work special events including Board meetings, Distinguished Alumni Gala, reunions, and football game days

- capacity to stand, walk, bend, reach for extended periods
- ability to work multiple semesters
- ability to advocate for Texas A&M University
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical capability to perform medium work
- readiness to receive reasonable accommodations if needed
Job Qualifications
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office
- strong interpersonal skills supporting customer service
- familiarity with Texas A&M campus and surrounding area
- previous similar involvement through volunteering, student government, extracurricular groups or equivalent engagement
- current enrollment at Texas A&M University preferred
- previous experience of at least six months of paid part-time work preferred
Job Duties
- Follow detailed instructions
- remain flexible with job tasks and availability
- perform basic, routine tasks with possibly minimal instructions depending on circumstances
- exhibit a pro-active and positive attitude that gets the job done on time
- positively represent The Association through customer-focused interactions and by treating others with courtesy and respect
- assist Events staff with preparing rooms for meetings, events, conferences
- maintain the agreed-upon work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- communicate with management timely regarding availability
- use Microsoft Office Suite at a basic level to track equipment and supplies
- setup and tear-down decor, tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, and other items
- build good working relationships with customers
- maintain storage areas and inventory pre- and post-event
- work in a safe manner
- perform other duties as assigned
