Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year experience

  • Knowledge of event management trends
  • Proficiency in billing and revenue forecasting

Job Duties

  • Ensures events progress seamlessly by following established procedures and collaborating with employees
  • Greets customers during event phase and hands off to Event Operations team
  • Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensures billing accuracy and reviews bills with clients
  • Manages group room blocks and meeting space
  • Identifies and resolves operational challenges
  • Acts as liaison between field salesperson and customer
  • Participates in customer site inspections
  • Solicits feedback to improve event experiences
  • Delivers excellent customer service
  • Empowers employees
  • Coordinates and communicates event details
  • Oversees customer experience from file turnover to post-event
  • Follows up with customers post-event
  • Responds to guest problems and complaints
  • Uses judgment to enhance customer experience
  • Leads formal pre- and post-event meetings
  • Facilitates Banquet Event Order meetings
  • Assists in sales process and revenue forecasting
  • Up-sells products and services
  • Reviews guest satisfaction results
  • Provides employee feedback and develops corrective actions
