Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years event management experience in relevant venues
- proven ability managing entertainment and corporate events
- budget management experience
- proficiency with event software like AutoCAD or Social Tables preferred
- excellent organizational skills
- strong communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- valid driver’s license
- physical stamina to stand and move for long periods
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business, sports management, or related field preferred
- minimum 2-3 years professional event management experience in arena, convention center, or similar facility required
- proven success managing private/corporate and live entertainment events
- experience in budget management and client relations
- proficiency in AutoCAD or Social Tables preferred
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- ability to remain calm under pressure
- keen attention to detail
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- familiarity with event management systems and safety regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- valid driver's license and physical ability to move about venue for extended periods
Job Duties
- Serve as primary contact for concerts, sporting events, family shows, and private/corporate functions
- develop detailed event plans and timelines
- prepare and maintain event documentation including work orders and floor plans
- coordinate staffing and resources with internal departments
- manage vendor relationships to ensure successful event execution
- conduct pre-event meetings and on-site walk-throughs
- monitor event load-in, performance, and load-out adhering to safety procedures
- obtain necessary permits with city officials and fire marshal
- serve as on-site venue representative during events making real-time decisions
- build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships
- provide professional recommendations to meet client goals
- resolve event-related issues diplomatically
- assist in budget preparation and management
- track expenses and ensure billing accuracy
- identify opportunities for revenue growth
- communicate event details across departments
- lead or participate in production meetings
- support leadership on major events and projects
- supervise part-time and contract staff during events ensuring alignment with standards
