Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum three years relevant experience
  • Ability to travel regularly
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including administration, faculty, alumni, parents, and volunteers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Ability to manage contracts and budgets
  • Ability to develop and execute complex event logistics
  • Must be able to perform physical activities related to event setups
  • No driver's license required

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage special events within University Advancement, providing strategic oversight and support as needed
  • Work closely with the Special Events and University Ceremonies team and Eliot Society Experience team to ensure seamless event execution and meaningful donor experiences
  • Oversee event planning activities including contract negotiations and management, reserving event space, creating invitations, overseeing data for invitation lists, coordinating and supervising mail house projects, and creating timelines
  • Establish logistical plans, assist with securing speakers, create seating plans, assist with talking points, prepare briefing materials for university leadership, and manage onsite logistics
  • Perform other duties as assigned
