Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- at least 2 years of relevant event planning or management experience
- ability to travel regularly to support events in various locations
- strong organizational skills
- ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work independently without supervision
- no driver's license required
- willingness to uphold university values of integrity and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- relevant experience of at least 2 years in event management or related fields
- familiarity with the mission of Advancement Programs
- demonstrated ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, alumni, parents, and volunteers
- strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships
- ability to work independently and stay task-oriented
- honesty, integrity, and strong work ethic
- experience in higher education, preferably in a complex university environment, is preferred
- proficiency in event development, event management software, Microsoft Office, project management, and professional communication
Job Duties
- Oversee and manage special events within University Advancement, providing strategic oversight and support as needed
- work closely with the Special Events and University Ceremonies team and Eliot Society Experience team to ensure seamless event execution and meaningful donor experiences
- oversee event planning activities including contract negotiations, reserving event space, creating invitations, managing invitation data, coordinating mail projects, creating timelines and logistical plans
- assist with securing speakers, creating seating plans, preparing briefing materials and talking points for university leadership
- perform other duties as assigned
