Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • at least 2 years of relevant experience in event management or related roles
  • ability to travel regularly to various event locations
  • excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to work independently without supervision
  • dedication to upholding integrity and work ethic
  • familiarity with university advancement or similar environments preferred
  • must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage special events within University Advancement including St. Louis-based and regional Eliot Society events and targeted cultivation events
  • work closely with the Special Events and University Ceremonies team and Eliot Society Experience team to ensure seamless event execution and meaningful donor experiences
  • assist overall SEUC events when necessary
  • oversee event planning activities such as contract negotiations and management, reserving event spaces, coordinating with communications for invitations and managing invitation data, supervising mail house projects, creating timelines and logistical plans, securing speakers, creating seating plans, assisting with talking points and briefing materials for university leadership, and managing onsite logistics
  • perform other duties as assigned
