Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of experience in hotel event management or related field preferred
- proficient computer skills
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational abilities
- ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- refined verbal and written communication skills
- proficient in general computer knowledge
- extremely detail oriented and organized
- prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
- prefer candidate has completed PSS
Job Duties
- Solicit new catering and group sales business
- manage event inquiries and bookings
- coordinate sales efforts for group events
- oversee event logistics and execution
- collaborate with Hotel Sales Managers on contract negotiations
- plan banquet food and beverage sales and meeting room rentals
- facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events
- host hotel tours
- maintain strong customer relationships
- participate in and lead event and staff meetings
- support Director of Events with internal meeting and event requests
- assist Senior Sales Manager with detailing and servicing
- service all local events of 20 people or less
