Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate events, trade shows, or experiential marketing
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience developing long-range event strategies
  • Proven experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (20-30% depending on event schedule)

  • Ability to travel as needed (20-30% depending on event schedule)
  • Experience in CPG, B2B, or foodservice industry considered a plus
  • Experience managing larger scale event budgets considered a plus

Job Duties

  • Continuously review best-in-class events strategies and activations across competitive landscape and beyond
  • Identify implications for AFH and form recommendations
  • Create and socialize a progressively advancing, 3-year events strategy for AFH, defining clear goals, priorities, and success metrics
  • Gain alignment and enlistment across sales, marketing, and operations leaders and peers
  • Create and socialize the annual events plan, encompassing all AFH events - internal and external
  • Develop and manage annual AFH events budget - including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on spend
  • Negotiate vendor contracts to maximize investment and quality of service offering
  • Lead individual AFH event planning and execution
  • Coordinate with AFH sales and marketing peer group to define goals, objectives, priorities, and communications plan
  • Coordinate cross-functional vendors and agency partners to develop and execute event logistics, content development, booth/asset design, in-show activations, pre/post-show activities, and more
  • Ensure events are on-brand, deliver a seamless experience, and engage target audiences based on event objectives
  • Measure and analyze event performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all event-related initiatives for AFH
  • Manage relationships with external partners - vendors, venues, agencies, and production companies
  • Coach and guide internal teams on event best practices to set clear expectations, ensure consistency, and maximize impact
