Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years experience in face-to-face event planning
- 2-5 years experience in virtual event planning
- Experience managing large-scale events with 500-1,000+ attendees
- Proficiency in virtual web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Webex
- Knowledge of event software such as Cvent and SpotMe preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a virtual team
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% domestically and internationally
- Ability to adhere to compliance and security policies
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years experience in face-to-face event planning
- 2-5 years experience in virtual event planning
- Experience executing large-scale conferences and events with 500-1,000+ attendees
- Proficiency with virtual web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Webex
- Experience with event software such as Cvent and SpotMe desired
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical, and abstract reasoning skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Creative and out-of-the-box thinker
- Ability to work across multiple time zones and diverse cultures
- Ability to manage teams in a virtual environment
- Multilingual and pharmaceutical industry knowledge desired but not required
Job Duties
- Partner with client(s) and stakeholders to understand event needs and develop full scope project plan
- Ensure optimal solutions via thorough knowledge of MTA products and services
- Contribute innovative solutions to advance MTA offerings
- Develop and manage project timeline from concept through completion
- Manage internal team including full-time and contract staff with task delegation ensuring timeline goals are met
- Manage vendor partnerships including hotel, transportation, travel, production, translation, shipping
- Manage budgets and financial reconciliation of all event-related expenses
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies including security controls and GDPR
- Uphold terms from Client Master Service Agreements and Vendor Agreements
- Provide recommendations to improve MTA security controls
