Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience in event management or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in related major
  • at least 1 year experience in event management
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage operational challenges
  • proficient in customer service
  • ability to lead event management teams
  • capable of supporting sales and marketing functions
  • willing to work full-time
  • located in Orlando, Florida

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • experience in managing events and guest relations
  • knowledge of event management and design trends
  • ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • strong customer service and leadership abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers to ensure high-level service
  • handle events of average complexity ensuring seamless turnover from sales to service and back
  • manage group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups
  • conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings to review group needs and feedback
  • act as liaison between salesperson and customer through pre-event, event, and post-event phases
  • participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process as necessary
  • ensure billing accuracy and review final bills with clients prior to processing
