Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related area
- OR 2-year degree in relevant field
- At least 1 year experience in event management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work full time on-site at W Los Angeles
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency with event management software preferred
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented and organized
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years event management experience
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with at least 1 year event management experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Experience in customer service and client relations
- Knowledge of event management trends and design
- Leadership experience in managing teams
- Sales support and revenue forecasting abilities
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate logistics
- Greet customers during events and hand off to Event Operations team
- Ensure billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews
- Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
- Identify and solve operational challenges
- Act as liaison between sales and customers
- Lead pre-event and post-event meetings
- Assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
- Up-sell products and services
- Review guest satisfaction and provide feedback
- Conduct employee service performance observations
- Implement corrective action plans
- Follow up post-event and resolve customer complaints
