Job Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Parks and Recreation, Business Management, Project Management or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in programming, event management, parks and recreation operations management or related field with supervisory or leadership experience
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn recreation software
  • must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within six months of appointment
  • possess a valid Ohio driver’s license
  • able to fulfill the physical demands of the position
  • must maintain certifications and licensure as a condition of employment

  • Plan, design, and implement events impacting all age groups
  • oversee program and event implementation
  • manage Recreation Team members directly
  • conduct research to identify event opportunities
  • collect and analyze community data and feedback
  • manage event budgets and resources
  • ensure excellent customer service and community engagement
