Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in event management or related area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • at least 1 year experience in event management
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks
  • customer service oriented
  • ability to work under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare event documentation
  • coordinate with sales, property departments and customers
  • ensure seamless event turnover from sales to service and back
  • identify revenue opportunities through upselling
  • manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • ensure billing accuracy and review bills with clients
  • act as liaison during pre-event, event, and post-event phases
  • conduct pre- and post-event meetings
  • participate in customer site inspections
  • handle guest problems and complaints
  • lead and motivate event management teams
  • assist in sales and revenue forecasting
  • review guest satisfaction and provide employee feedback
  • implement corrective action plans
