Job Requirements

- minimum 1 year experience in event management or related professional area
- or 2-year degree in relevant field

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED with 1 to 2 years experience in event management or related field
- or 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with at least 1 year experience
- strong communication skills
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- proven customer service experience
- ability to lead meetings and coordinate teams
- knowledge of event management trends and best practices
- proficiency in billing and event logistics
- problem-solving and decision-making skills
- ability to work collaboratively with sales and property staff
- aptitude for providing feedback and coaching employees
Job Duties
- prepare all event documentation
- coordinate with sales, property departments and customers to ensure high level service
- manage event logistics by following procedures and collaborating with employees
- greet customers during event phase and hand-off to event operations
- ensure billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews
- manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
- identify and resolve operational challenges
- act as liaison between sales and customers throughout event process
- participate in customer site inspections and assist sales
- solicit feedback for improvement
- deliver exceptional customer service throughout event lifecycle
- empower employees to provide excellent service
- communicate event details to customers and operations
- oversee customer experiences from turnover to post-event
- follow up with customers post-event
- handle guest problems and complaints
- enhance customer experience using judgment and expertise
- lead pre- and post-event meetings
- facilitate various event-related meetings
- assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
- up-sell products and services
- review employee service behaviors and provide feedback
- assist in developing corrective action plans
- address operational challenges collaboratively
- perform additional duties as assigned
