Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 - 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- at least 1 year experience in event management or related field
- strong communication and organizational skills
- ability to handle complex event logistics

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepares all event documentation and coordinates with sales, property departments and customers for service consistency
- Handles events of average complexity ensuring seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales
- Identifies and maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements
- Manages group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups
- Acts as liaison between sales and customer through pre-event, event and post-event phases
- Conducts formal pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
- Responds to guest problems and complaints ensuring excellent customer service
- Reviews and ensures billing accuracy with clients
- Participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process
- Solicits feedback from property departments and integrates improvements into event planning
- Leads event management teams and coordinates with sales and marketing functions
- Supports human resources activities including feedback and performance review with employees
