Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from accredited university in relevant field
- At least 1 year experience in event management
- Ability to handle events of average complexity
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work full time
- Willingness to work on-site at Clearwater Beach, Florida
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of event management experience
- Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with at least 1 year of event management experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and coordinate teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in forecasting and revenue management
- Proficient in event management software and tools
- Leadership capabilities to conduct meetings and manage staff
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
- Ensure seamless event progression by following established procedures
- Greet customers during event phases and hand-off to event operations team
- Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces for medium to large-sized groups
- Act as liaison between sales staff and customers throughout event process
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process
- Conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings to review and communicate group needs
- Assist in sales process and revenue forecasting for customer groups
- Up-sell products and services throughout event process
- Review guest satisfaction results with employees and provide feedback
- Handle guest problems and complaints effectively
- Solicit feedback from property departments to improve event experiences
