Job Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited university in hotel management, food and beverage operations, culinary, or related discipline
  • 2-5 years in a management level hospitality position with supervisory and high-volume event management experience
  • Strong demonstrated background in managing an event department
  • Effective communication skills with high command of the English language, oral and written
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Leadership and staff motivation abilities
  • Coaching, counseling and training skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with high energy
  • Service oriented with interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Flexibility and multitasking capability
  • Basic arithmetic knowledge
  • Data input and computer information access
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Planning, organization and execution of on-site receptions, movie screenings, private events, corporate and group events from start to finish in accordance with requirements and budget and time constraints
  • Planning, implementation and overseeing of event communication strategy including newsletters, updates, special projects, invitations
  • Preparation of budgets and comprehensive reports along with monitoring adherence
  • Researching and maintaining knowledge of new vendors, markets and promotions
  • Supervising event coordinators and administrative staff
  • Anticipating guests' needs, responding promptly and maintaining positive guest relations
  • Timely completion of assigned tasks and adherence to deadlines
