Job Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited university in hotel management, food and beverage operations, culinary, or related discipline
- 2-5 years in a management level hospitality position with supervisory and high-volume event management experience
- Strong demonstrated background in managing an event department
- Effective communication skills with high command of the English language, oral and written
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Leadership and staff motivation abilities
- Coaching, counseling and training skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated with high energy
- Service oriented with interpersonal and customer service skills
- Flexibility and multitasking capability
- Basic arithmetic knowledge
- Data input and computer information access
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Planning, organization and execution of on-site receptions, movie screenings, private events, corporate and group events from start to finish in accordance with requirements and budget and time constraints
- Planning, implementation and overseeing of event communication strategy including newsletters, updates, special projects, invitations
- Preparation of budgets and comprehensive reports along with monitoring adherence
- Researching and maintaining knowledge of new vendors, markets and promotions
- Supervising event coordinators and administrative staff
- Anticipating guests' needs, responding promptly and maintaining positive guest relations
- Timely completion of assigned tasks and adherence to deadlines
