Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the Sales and Catering Department's standard operating procedures
  • Begin outreach and establish communication cadence with the customer or customers
  • Coordinate all aspects of conferences including food and beverage requirements, timing of events, audio-visual requirements, guest attention, room type allocation, rooming list, amenities, function room setup, group transportation, type of check-in and check-out including satellite check-in, special meal requests, arrival and departure manifests, luggage storage, complimentary rooms, billing instructions, prepare banquet event orders and other communications, authorized signatures, internet requirements, storage and delivery, power and key requirements, expected food and beverage outlet usage, group hospitality, office, registration desk, and business centre requirements
  • Follow standard operation procedures to handle all steps in the event planning process adhering to hotel protocols
  • Ensure successful site inspections and client visits by planning carefully and communicating details to all departments
  • Proactively achieve high event satisfaction scores by establishing rapport with clients and ensuring expectations are met during the conference
  • Generate high revenue yielding business for contracted rooms, function space, and catered events
  • Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings as agreed with the client
  • Communicate with banquet department and kitchen for all banquet functions and relay client requests to relevant departments
  • Be aware of departmental revenue and up-sell at every opportunity
  • Participate in all regular and operational meetings as required
