Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in event planning
- Proficiency in budget management and contract negotiations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Willingness to travel between San Antonio and Austin
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event planning and execution, preferably in media, community, or brand events
- Strong budget management and profit and loss ownership skills
- Excellent project management and communication abilities
- Skilled in vendor negotiation
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Demonstrated passion for creating impactful in-person experiences
- Experience managing multiple projects across different locations
- Collaborative mindset and proactive 'make it happen' attitude
Job Duties
- Lead end-to-end planning and production of flagship events across San Antonio and Austin
- Ensure each event meets revenue goals, adheres to timelines, and delivers a memorable experience
- Manage budgets, contracts, timelines, and all logistical aspects of events
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, editorial teams, and sponsors to create strategic, engaging event experiences
- Oversee event execution from kickoff to teardown, ensuring flawless delivery
- Track key performance indicators, gather feedback, and continually improve event quality
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail
