Job Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in event planning and management
  • experience in sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries preferred
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • valid driver’s license for domestic travel
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel up to 30% of the time
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • proactive problem-solving mindset
  • flexibility in work schedule including hybrid remote and office work
  • alignment with USA Lacrosse’s mission, vision, and core values

Job Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in event planning and/or management
  • experience in sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries preferred
  • previous work with associations, non-profits, or governing bodies is a plus
  • understanding of event logistics, vendor management, scheduling, and material tracking
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage others and give direction in event settings
  • proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills
  • discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel as required
  • valid driver’s license and ability to rent and drive vehicles for business
  • willingness to learn and support USA Lacrosse’s mission and values

Job Duties

  • Build and manage comprehensive event schedules
  • manage participant registration processes and communications
  • serve as point of contact for venue partners during planning and execution
  • provide event details and input to the Marketing team
  • collaborate with Partnership and Sponsorship teams on partner deliverables
  • coordinate volunteer needs with Event Coordinator
  • maintain and update internal event planning documents and procedures
  • liaise between Events team and internal departments
  • manage customer service inquiries related to events
  • support data collection and post-event feedback efforts
  • assist in development of event recap reports
  • foster collaborative team culture with proactive problem-solving
