  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Two or more years working in a development department at a non-profit agency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising CRM systems
  • Proficient in use of technology platforms
  • Excellent writing, organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative, build relationships, and deliver results
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
  • Good memory recall
  • Comfortable with public speaking

Job Duties

  • Plan, implement, and follow-up for special events including gala, walk/run, pub crawl, poker tournament, and golf tournament
  • Negotiate vendor and supplier services and review contracts
  • Manage volunteer committees including staffing, recruitment, supervision, training, and recognition
  • Coordinate event logistics and publicity including public relations, advertising, and collateral material production
  • Develop and manage event budgets
  • Solicit in-kind donations for events
  • Cultivate and expand sponsorship development and fulfillment
  • Design and coordinate donor relations and stewardship systems
  • Accurately document constituent contact information in CRM
  • Brainstorm and implement outreach partnerships
  • Increase email/contact and volunteer acquisition at outreach events
  • Maintain outreach event calendar
  • Partner with community for outreach events planning and execution
  • Recruit and train new volunteers
  • Maintain volunteer information database and match volunteers to suitable opportunities
  • Promote third party events benefiting HGH
