Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in event management or related field
  • 3-5 years of event management experience preferably in higher education, nonprofit or cultural organizations
  • Proficient in using event scheduling software like Ad Astra
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in event management or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in event management preferably in higher education, nonprofit or cultural organizations
  • Proficiency with event scheduling software such as Ad Astra preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating logistics for large and small events
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and execute campus-wide events
  • Manage CIA's Ad Astra scheduling system and master event calendar
  • Liaise and collaborate with academic, administrative and operational departments
  • Oversee vendor coordination, setup, signage and audiovisual needs
  • Chair the CIA Events Committee and lead event planning discussions
  • Ensure high standards of hospitality, safety and creativity for all events
  • Manage select income-generating events balancing revenue and institutional priorities
