Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Communication, or closely related field
  • two years of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • successful completion of background check including fingerprinting
  • enrollment in continuous RAP Back program
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds
  • willingness to travel for meetings or training

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Communication, or related field
  • two years of directly related work experience
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in computer software and social media management
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to handle difficult situations professionally
  • knowledge of event planning and contract negotiation
  • experience in customer service and client relations

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate details of events and activities at Arts & Culture venues
  • conduct facility tours and site inspections
  • cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients
  • respond to inquiries about scheduling rooms and event spaces
  • meet with clients to discuss setup options, calculate cost estimates, and review requirements
  • negotiate and finalize rental contracts, manage event calendar, accept deposits and payments
  • act as primary point of contact for clients and coordinate event details with internal staff
  • cooperate with marketing to promote and publicize events
  • monitor and manage social media channels
  • enforce rules and regulations regarding facility use
  • arrange last-minute adjustments and resolve problems during events
  • monitor events to ensure compliance with contracts and safety requirements
  • maintain database of events, contacts, and authorized caterers
  • prepare financial, statistical, and administrative reports
