The Charleston RiverDogs are a professional minor league baseball team based in Charleston, South Carolina. As a Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, the RiverDogs play an integral role in the development of future Major League Baseball stars while providing an exciting and family-friendly sports entertainment experience for the local community. Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and execute meetings/events according to the needs of private events clients in a timely manner
  • Maintain constant communication with the client before and during their meetings/events
  • Responsible for all event services staffing coordination including part-time staff scheduling and RiverDogs full-time staff assistance
  • Coordinate outside service needs with clients, event planners or other vendors including rentals
  • Lead internal communication between events staff, food and beverage staff, and operations staff to ensure proper execution of events
  • Maintain records of all event-related expenses and work with accounting staff for invoicing and revenue tracking
  • Serve as front-of-house lead to ensure proper food and beverage service execution
  • Maintain proper image and generate positive public relations with clients, patrons and staff
  • Ability to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Help manage the overall ballpark calendar and maximize revenue by targeting RiverDogs-produced events
  • Attract sponsors, lead marketing efforts, sell tickets and work with vendors to execute non-baseball events such as the annual Golf Tournament, 5K Run, and Oldtimers Softball Game
