Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- At least 1 year experience in event management or related area
- Ability to manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
- Ability to conduct pre- and post-event meetings
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to coordinate with sales and property departments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to forecast event revenue and manage billing accuracy
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related area
- OR a 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing events of average complexity
- Knowledge of event planning standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
- Leadership skills to lead meetings and teams effectively
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
- Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces for average to large-sized groups
- Serve as liaison between salesperson and customer throughout the event process
- Conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings to review group needs and feedback
- Deliver exceptional customer service and empower employees to maintain high guest satisfaction
- Coordinate event details verbally and in writing to customers and property operations
- Assist in the sales process and revenue forecasting for customer groups
