Job Requirements

  • At least two years of event management experience
  • bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality, event management, or related field preferred
  • passion for Rung’s vision and mission
  • previous experience with building operations
  • commitment to customer service
  • excellent communication and project management skills
  • ability to manage and complete multiple tasks
  • high proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • ability to motivate others while being responsive to their needs
  • attention to detail and ability to handle tasks quickly and efficiently
  • concern for rules and accuracy
  • selling rather than telling communication style
  • ability to manage multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external events including answering rental request inquiries
  • manage the setup and teardown of event spaces including moving, lifting, and stacking chairs and tables
  • collaborate across teams to manage internal and external events
  • ensure all events meet Rung’s brand and operational standards
  • manage relationships with third-party event management companies
  • manage custodial services requests for events during and outside business hours
  • develop and manage event-related policies, procedures, and processes
  • maintain and update preferred catering vendor lists
  • manage conference space walkthroughs and building tour requests
  • coordinate with all departments to ensure events have adequate supplies and materials
  • maintain an inventory of conference room furniture and setup maintenance needs
  • manage inventory of building supplies, beverage stations, vending machines, and physical assets to minimize loss
  • inspect campus daily for safety, cleanliness, maintenance, and supply needs and dispatch service providers as needed
  • assist with onsite event preparation, oversee and perform event setup and breakdown
  • troubleshoot issues that arise during events
  • perform other duties as assigned
