Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Communication, or Business
  • 2+ years of experience in event management, hospitality, or administration
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • ability to understand client needs and communicate company abilities effectively
  • ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • adaptability to constantly changing and short deadline situations
  • strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • demonstrated project and time management skills
  • proven expertise in solving problems
  • ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with the Events Director to understand the department's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
  • provides leadership to the events team during office hours and after-hours events on-site
  • participates as a member of the events team during quarterly planning sessions
  • maintains a high level of professionalism during interactions with internal team members and event guests
  • provides exceptional customer service during event planning and execution
  • participates in the strategic planning and on-site coordination of events to ensure a smooth experience for all guests
  • builds a team culture aligned with the organization's core values
  • oversees the daily workflow of the event team
  • provides coaching and leadership development for direct reports
  • contributes input during the interview process for event team members
  • undertakes additional responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Director of Events
