Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in related major
  • At least 1 year experience in event management
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work full time on-site
  • Must not be located remotely
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with sales and operations teams
  • Capacity to handle customer complaints and resolve issues
  • Commitment to uphold hotel standards and policies
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1 to 2 years experience in event management or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience managing event logistics and coordinating teams
  • Ability to forecast and maximize revenue
  • Knowledge of billing processes and event documentation
  • Leadership abilities in managing staff and conducting meetings
  • Problem-solving aptitude and adaptability
  • Proficiency in integrating event trends and design
  • Experience in liaising between sales, operations, and customers

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation
  • Coordinate with Sales, property departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service
  • Manage events of average complexity and ensure seamless turnover between sales and service
  • Identify revenue opportunities through upselling and event enhancements
  • Greet customers during event phase and facilitate handover to Event Operations team
  • Review and ensure billing accuracy with clients
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • Resolve operational challenges in collaboration with property staff and customers
  • Integrate current event management and design trends
  • Act as liaison between field salespersons and customers throughout event process
  • Participate in customer site inspections and sales process
  • Solicit feedback from property departments to improve event planner experience
  • Deliver excellent customer service and empower employees
  • Conduct pre- and post-event meetings and communicate group needs
  • Assist in sales process, revenue forecasting and upselling
  • Review guest satisfaction feedback and train employees on service behaviors
  • Implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties to meet business needs
