Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in event management or related area
  • or 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • at least 1 year experience in event management
  • ability to prepare event documentation
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in coordinating with sales and property departments
  • experience managing group room blocks and meeting space
  • capability to handle billing and client billing reviews
  • leadership skills to manage teams
  • customer service expertise
  • ability to resolve guest complaints
  • availability to work full-time
  • willingness to perform other job-related duties

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare all event documentation
  • coordinate with sales, property departments, and customer to ensure high-level service
  • manage event logistics for events of average complexity
  • ensure billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews with clients
  • manage group room blocks and meeting space
  • identify and resolve operational challenges
  • act as liaison between field salesperson and customer
  • participate in customer site inspections
  • deliver exceptional customer service throughout event phases
  • empower employees to provide excellent service
  • coordinate and communicate event details
  • oversee customer experience from file turnover to post-event phase
  • follow up with customers post-event
  • handle guest problems and complaints
  • enhance customer experience using judgment and expertise
  • conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings
  • assist in sales and revenue forecasting
  • up-sell products and services
  • forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
  • review comment cards and guest satisfaction with employees
  • observe service behaviors and provide feedback
  • assist in corrective action plans
  • improve service performance
  • perform other duties as assigned
